(Via Marketwired) “People tend to lose concentration within eight seconds — which is less than the attention span of a goldfish,” says a media release from the Dx3 conference and trade show — and this year’s edition will showcase ways to meet that challenge. Taking place March 2 and 3 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, Dx3 brings innovations from brands including IDEO, WeWork, Best Buy and Waze to marketers, retailers, and the public. More details are here.

The Victoria Film Festival runs from February 5th through 14th, and from the 5th to the 11th it’ll make a special visit to Sydney, BC, writes Carlie Connolly in The Peninsula News Review. This is the second year Sydney residents can see the Festival films in the comfort of their home town, and the schedule includes plenty of talks by creators like Patricia Sims and Michael Clark (When Elephants Were Young) and Patricia Rozema (Into the Forest).

(Via Marketwired) Longtime music tour and film producer Michael Cohl, founder of Iconic Entertainment Studios, is stepping into a new role: Board of Directors member at Golden Leaf Holdings Ltd., “one of the largest cannabis oil and solution providers in North America.”
