Crew Call for Sudbury Commercial, Vote for Big Brother Guests, A Million for Brooklyn

A location scout is needed right away for a TV commercial in Sudbury, MFM says; when production starts in March, a local fixer/producer’s assistant will also be needed. Details are here.

(Via PRNewswire) In a worldwide first for the Big Brother franchise, Canadians can vote for two wildcard international guests who’ll win a spot in the Big Brother Canada house. ET Canada announced today that four former guests from the U.S., Britain, Australia, and Italy are competing for the two places, one for a male and one for a female. Watch their pitches and vote here.

(Via Wireservice.ca) One more achievement for Brooklyn — it’s the first Canadian film to make a million in Quebec this year. Métropole Films and Item 7 (whose Pierre Even and Marie-Claude Poulin co-produced) remind us that the U.K./Ireland/Canada project was partly filmed in Montreal. The story of a young woman leaving home seems to appeal to audiences everywhere. (The media release is in French.)
