Vancouver Web Fest: Enter Now

(Via WireService.ca) As we mentioned earlier today, Vancouver Web Fest is now open for early bird entries. Web content creators from all over the world are invited to submit their work in the genres of Action/Adventure, Comedy, Drama, Musical, Animation, Fantasy, Horror, Mystery, Science Fiction, Thriller, Family, Documentary, and Reality. You can read the submission guidelines here (among other requirements, you need a series of at least three episodes of no more than 20 minutes each) and apply online here.

The 2016 Festival will take place March 18th through 20th at Performance Works on Granville Island. As well as recognizing and awarding great creators, it will also “explore the fascinating future of digital content by facilitating networking opportunities between the content creators, production companies, distributors and buyers of online productions from around the world.”

Awards include Best Cinematography, Director and Original Score, Best Foreign, Best Canadian, Best Overall, Best Actor, Best Actress, and a new one for Sound Design.

Vancouver Web Fest is not only a showcase and an opportunity, it’s a good time — even for the festival volunteers, as you can read here, here, and here.   It’s shaping up to become an annual tradition in Vancouver and it’s worth a visit for anyone who’s in the city.
