(Via PRNewswire) Launching an acting career in Canada can take a lot of travel, and of course that means time and money. One way to get around it is to train — then audition for further training — at home, online. Armstrong Acting Studios’ program ActEd Online lets you do that from anywhere in North America.
According to a company press release, ActEd Online is a rigorous training program for actors of all ages and levels looking to master the on-camera audition.Sign up for it and you’ll get interactive coaching, instructional videos, and more. Then you can take the option to submit a self-made showcase for a chance at an intensive master class, in Los Angeles, all expenses paid, with the Studios’ founder Dean Armstrong.
A Queen’s University grad and veteran actor and acting coach, Armstrong says, “”My passion is inspiring people and launching careers, and I know that there are some exciting undiscovered actors in small towns right now looking for an opportunity to be seen, and this is it.”
The date for the next master class is set for July 9 through 16, 2016. To be eligible for selection, you need to be between ages 18-29 at that time, live in North America, and have a valid passport. You can read the rest of the details here. The cost is $497 (U.S., of course, so you might want to sign up before the loonie drops any more) plus tax.
