Skincare at VIFF, Maslany at Emmys, Arts on Ave, Aykroyd in Reboot

(Via CNW) At this year’s Vancouver International Film Festival, festivalgoers will have a chance to get personal skincare consultations from NeoStrata and London Drugs. NeoStrata, the Canadian cosmeceutical brand,  is sponsoring the 2015 Style in Film series at VIFF, plus a contest with a prize of a VIP experience at VIFF.

(Via PRNewswire) Congratulations to Regina girl Tatiana Maslany on her first ever nomination for a Primetime Emmy award. She’s up for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her work in Orphan Black, the Space original series.

(Via Marketwired) Arts on the Ave (that’s 118 Avenue, in Edmonton), a group of visual and performing artists, literary and film artists, photographers, and musicians, has been awarded $120,900 of funding to present the 10th edition of the Kaleido Family Arts Festival.  The money comes through the Building Communities Through Arts and Heritage program of the Department of Canadian Heritage. Peter Goldring, Member of Parliament (Edmonton East), made this announcement today.

And yes, it seems Dan Aykroyd will be back in the Ghostbusters franchise for the reboot — though only for a cameo. Chantilly Post at the ET Canada blog has the story.
