Northern Casting and Discoverability

Apply now (by 2:00 today) if you’d like a chance to audition for Disorderly Conduct, a Hallmark movie about two urbanites doing community service in ranching country (and only making things worse while they “serve”). There are quite a few roles to be cast — MFM has the details, as this Wyoming story will be filmed (where else?) in Northern Ontario.

(Via PRNewswire) Speaking of casting (and the North), the leads for the new CTV series Cardinal have been announced: Golden Globe® nominee Billy Campbell in the title role of detective John Cardinal and multiple Genie Award-winning actress Karine Vanasse as his partner Lise Delorme. The series is set in the northern city of Algonquin Bay.

(Via PRNewswire) The CRTC and the NFB are holding a half-day event known as En route to the Discoverability Summit: Content in the Age of Abundance tomorrow in Vancouver, as preparation for the Discoverability Summit in May 2016. Experts in different fields will gather ideas and strategies for the May event. Details are here, and the event will also be live streamed from that site and the CRTC YouTube channel. To quote: “In a world of choice… in the age of abundance… discoverability is key.”
