More early CSA’s — The Globe and Mail’s Barry Hertz reports some of the 49 handed out last night in TO, including nine for The Book of Negroes and six for Schitt’s Creek. Of course there are plenty more to come on Sunday night, when the live broadcast begins at 8:00 Eastern time.

(Via Wireservice.ca) And speaking of awards, PAL Canada Foundation has been recognized by the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television with its 2016 Humanitarian Award. The charitable organization looks out for aging and disadvantaged people who have worked in the entertainment industry, advocating for needs like affordable housing and also giving practical support.
