The production tells the story of Jordan Belfort, a successful stockbroker. He was able to sell pretty much anything to whomever he wanted. He was selling very bad stocks to his clients. Then once the buyers lost the money, he was gaining a profit, which made him very rich. 

This film shows you two pictures – one of a very successful and rich person who knew how to make sales, and one of the greedy people who made bad financial decisions in order to earn cash.

In Indecent Proposal, David and Diana are victims of the recession. David works as an architect, while Diana is a real estate agent. They did their best to save their house by gambling to win their mortgage money. Sadly, things don’t work out for them and they lose. Later on, they are saved by a billionaire.

The movie is great at showing how risky gambling can be and how you should not rely on it. 

  • The War of the Roses

The War of the Roses tells the story of a couple who were together for almost twenty years, then got divorced. However, none of them wants to give up on the money and house they own together. But they don’t want to share these assets either. In the end, they destroy everything. 

The lesson here is that if you don’t end up learning how to manage money in the relationship, it can lead to disaster, which can include a breakup or divorce.
