(Via PRWeb) Unlimi-Tech Software of Ottawa has had some of its products picked up by Ready, Set, Sync!, the company behind TVTibi. The chosen technology was FileCatalyst Direct, a suite of client and server applications that enable point to point accelerated file transfers at speeds of up to 10 Gbps, and FileCatalyst HotFolder, a desktop application that is installed on the end-user’s machine that allows for the creation of scheduled, automatic tasks. Unlimi-Tech says “This technology allows a user to schedule regular uploads of video files to the cloud, at blazing speeds. Files that traditionally took hours or days to transfer are able to be sent in a matter of minutes.”
Not only is this useful to a team working on the same file from different sites, the technology is also easy to understand, according to both Unlimi-Tech and Ready, Set, Sync!. As Unlimi-Tech notes, small companies often need something like this.
TVtibi describes itself as an over-the-top “TV… Everywhere!” platform. It strives to to help content owners reach new customers and launch new channels at an affordable cost. It offers viewers everywhere individually purchased channels, series, episodes, and movies through both live and on-demand content. They can access it via a mobile app on their televisions, computers, phones, and tablets.
Unlimi-Tech has over 1,000 customers in industries from the media to mining to the military, including many Fortune 500 companies.
FileCatalyst will be exhibited at the 2015 NAB Show held by the National Association of Broadcasters in Las Vegas. Matthew Beck, CEO of Ready, Set, Sync! will speak on TVtibi’s use of it on April 15th at the show.
