YouTube Space Toronto Opens Today (With Video)

(Via CNW) Today marks the official opening of YouTube Space Toronto at George Brown College’s Centre for Arts, Design & Information Technology. The name says it all — this place is all about TO’s YouTube creators, which as a media release notes are “one of the largest creator communities in North America.”

More than just studio space — though that’s a vital piece of the picture — YouTube Space Toronto also offers training programs and workshops from industry experts, events that let creators connect with each other, loaner production equipment such as cameras, lights, boom microphones, and more, rotating sets and an enclosed sound stage.

If you’re in Toronto, have a YouTube channel with at least 10,000 subscribers, and want to learn more about using these resources, you can read about booking your space here.

YouTube Space Toronto is the ninth YouTube Space to open worldwide and the first in Canada. Since March 2015, creators filming in YouTube Spaces globally have produced over 10,000 videos, which have generated over 1 billion views and 70+ million hours of watchtime.
