MFM has posted another opening for the Lifetime movie On Dasher, On Dancer, On Frankie. This time, extras are needed. In the words of the announcement: “All Shapes, All Sizes, All Ethnicities! Ages 6-60, Strong Emphasis on First Nations Faces.” Shooting starts Wednesday (the 19th) in Sudbury and moves to North Bay for the 20th and 21st. Also, children ages six to eight are needed for the 21st in North Bay. Production is expected to go on into September.

There’s not much information out there on the project, but MFM’s hotlist says Gary Yates of Montreal is directing. Also, according to the Directors Guild of Canada, W. Michael Beard is serving as Post Production Supervisor — he’s worked on films as different as two of the Saw franchise, Water, and Naturally Sadie.
Also filming in Northern Ontario now are TV series What Would Sal Do? which posted a casting call recently, and the opening seasons of Slasher and the French language series St. Nickel.
