Vancouver’s DOXA Documentary Film Festival has announced it’s opening this year with Aim For The Roses – a “musical docudrama” about stuntman Ken Carter, who in 1976 undertook to “jump a mile over the St. Lawrence Seaway in a rocket-powered Lincoln Continental”, writes The Globe and Mail’s Marsha Lederman. The Festival opens on May 5th.
(Via Wireservice.ca) Montreal’s NJ Taylor always thought the term pop army “sounded really cool and wanted to write a song called that.” Now she has — it’s on her self-titled debut EP, which will be out this month, but meanwhile the single has its own video directed by NOMAD.
