“Ironic Rebrand” for VSC (AKA Unobstructed View), Described Video Live from the Ballgame

(Via Wireservice.ca) In a “slightly ironic rebrand”, Canada’s oldest independent distributor of film and television content, Video Services Corp. (VSC), has changed its name to Unobstructed View. Jonathan Gross, President and Fearless Leader of the company, says the word video has become “quaint” these days. The new name reflects the company’s efforts to “bring films to the public that have clearer sightlines to the ultimate truths in life.” In 2015, that included distributing such works as Steve Jobs: The Man in the Machine and What We Do In The Shadows. There’s more top content lined up for later this year, including new investigative series Truth & Power.

Accessible Media Inc. (AMI) was the first ever broadcaster to air an MLB game with live described video, and that will continue for a fifth year as this baseball season starts. It begins with a special, Toronto Blue Jays on Deck, airing just before the Jays’ opening game against the Boston Red Sox on April 8th. For the full season schedule (well, almost — September is still TBA), see the AMI site.
