“Laro Film Inc” – Liars and Fraudsters

We’re all aware of scams and scammers, at least I hope we all are. But as of recently, a new set of folks has popped up set with the somewhat newish scam of sending you a cheque to deposit and then using stealing your bank information. A lot of us know how that one works. You submit to something that you THINK sounds legit, they ask you for some personal information, and if you think they’re legit enough without reading for grammatical errors, you submit it anyway. Then they proceed to get further information by sending you a picture of a cheque and telling you to deposit it by mobile transfer. Interesting how the “head of accounting” at Laro Film Inc claims to be someone serving on the board of Brain Injury Canada. Identity theft at its finest, folks. Chances are they’ll ask for some of it back even. Well, that’s the angle of these scammers at the fake Laro Film Inc website. According to Telefilm Canada and the government of Quebec, there is a company under that name, except some of the details are a bit different from the supposedly legit site for Laro Film, which is in fact proven to be fake. So, what happened to the real Laro Film Inc, anyway? How come I can’t find any info on them outside of websites in Quebec?

Well, a report about them has been made by at least one victim of their scam, and everyone else out there to avoid being scammed by these Laro losers, keep a sharp eye out for any posts requesting you send to any email address associated with larofilminc.ca

Furthermore, any readers had experiences with ‘em? Feel free to leave feedback. We’re open to it here on hnmag.
