Already Acing at Acting – Interview with Aiden Stoxx

The list of talent in Canada is constantly increasing with people of all ages, and some of the freshest newest talent is Aiden Stoxx. Just brand new in Vancouver and already having landed a few roles, Aiden seems to be making it big already. I estimate his IMDB page will have expanded by the end of this year. Of course, seeing how exiciting it is for him to get new talent made me excited at the possibility of interviewing Aiden, so that’s just what I did.

HNMAG: So what was it like playing your character in Newborn? Was it complex?

Aiden Stoxx: Playing Newborn was a fun role, at the time I would say it was complex because it was my first feature film. But I learned a lot on the set and a lot of tips on how to grow as an actor.

HNMAG: And how did you get along with David Oyelowo and Olivia Washington?

Aiden Stoxx: Yeah, between takes we’d be playing hot-hands and just laughing and joking around. It was a lot of fun. Good times.

HNMAG: You also had a role in Yellowjackets? How was that compared to Newborn?

Aiden Stoxx: Yellowjackets, I would say, was definitely more demanding role with different emotions and acting needs. But it was a new challenge from Newborn. Both of them were great experiences.

HNMAG: I hear you’re going to be in a film with John Cena. Would you be able to tell me more about that or is it confidential currently?

Aiden Stoxx: Ahh, it’s mostly confidential.

HNMAG: What drove you to take that role? Was it John himself?

Aiden Stoxx: Honestly I didn’t know when I first auditioned for it. It was a really nice role to audition for honestly, it was a lot of laughter.

He did something else on set too. I can’t say what it was, but I think the writer may have got some inspiration from The Wonder Years. That’s not vague at all, is it?

HNMAG: What are you looking forward to in exploring that role?

Aiden Stoxx: I don’t know, really.

HNMAG: What about acting? How did you start out and why did you decide to do it?

Aiden Stoxx: I started acting through doing commercials for the family retail store, Stoxx Vintage. Mom asked me to do commercials for her one day. Her store is stocked with vintage stuff, and from there she saw I loved being on camera. Then we came out to Vancouver, I got an agent at Lucas Talent, and from there my acting career continued to grow and I’m here where I am.

HNMAG: Where did you study acting at?

Aiden Stoxx: I took an acting class for about a month or two.

HNMAG: What’s a role that you would really like to play?

Aiden Stoxx: In a few years to come, I would like to play Black Panther. It’s always been my dream role to step into the light of Chadwich Boseman and play the role.

HNMAG: Is there any celebrity who inspired you and you would really like to meet?

Aiden Stoxx: I would say Chadwick Boseman, but since he passed, not sure there’s another.

Well, there might be after Aiden has worked his way through the film industry some more. He’s bound to meet more actors and filmtypes and some of them are sure to inspire him to do even more in his adult years. Keep an eye out for him as he makes his mark in more movies.
