Cassel will portray Karsh, an innovative businessman and grieving widower, who creates a unique device that allows people to connect with the deceased through burial shrouds. At his controversial cemetery, the device enables him and his clients to witness the real-time decomposition of their loved ones.

However, Karsh’s thriving business faces a setback when several graves, including that of his wife, are vandalized and nearly destroyed. How to Die Alone

Natasha Rothwell’s comedy series “How to Die Alone” has been approved by Onyx Collective for Hulu. The show, consisting of eight episodes, features Rothwell as Melissa, a neurotic, single woman determined to live life on her own terms after a close encounter with death. Vera Santamaria serves as co-showrunner with Rothwell, and both are executive producers alongside Desiree Akhavan. 

The project falls under Rothwell’s overall deal with ABC Signature and Onyx Collective through her Big Hattie Productions banner. Rothwell is known for her role as Kelli in HBO’s “Insecure” and has worked as a writer and director on the show. The series is expected to premiere on Hulu, although no specific release date has been announced.
