Bell Media and 20th Century Fox reach licensing agreement

(via bellmedia.ca) Today Bell Media’s The Movie Network and 20th Century Fox Television Distribution  announced they have reached a licensing agreement which will provide a much vaster number of films to anyone subscribed to The Movie Network as well as sub-service The Movie Network Encore. Titles released by Fox will be available to subscribers on all platforms such as on-air, on demand, and even TMN GO. These will be available until The Movie Network has finished work on its expansion.

The Movie Network is a special pay television service provided to citizens in Eastern Canada giving them the option of watching hit films, HBO shows, and any first-rate programming in Canada. Running on five channels for 24 hours, The Movie Network provides High Definition content in multi-video streaming service. 20th Century Fox also provides people with premium content, only they reach out to a more worldwide variety when it comes to premium entertainment content.

“The Movie Network is the leading premium pay TV service in Canada, and we are thrilled that our films will be added to its stellar lineup,” says  SVOD’s for Fox Senior Vice President Evan Scheffer. As Fox has quite the enormous slate of movies in theatres, production and many other varieties, the increase will give audiences of The Movie Network a lot of good value.

Coming in the library of The Movie Network will be features like The Peanuts Movie, Spy, The Fantastic Four, The Martian, and  much more. The Movie Network Encore will include classic movies of The X-Files, X-Men, and Wall Street. Many more to be expected in the very near future.
