Fate – The Success of Sienna Soho Baker

Another Fantastic Fate Article, this time about Sienna again. I had to talk to her for a few more extra details and learn about how she managed on set. But we all know how professional she is.

There’s lots more to say from Sienna’s perspective. Not just about how she became one with Violet, but how she connected with the talent and progressed in her path to a great role and amazing opportunities for the future.

Before Sienna made a connection with the actors and their characters until a real feeling, she was kind of reading the script, feeling out the part, trying to figure who the people were, and now she has a better understanding being around the people who help bring this scene to life. Compared to somebody reading the lines off the script, seeing everybody around and being able to play off of them has helped the character of Violet become more broader for Sienna and she can actually react to what happens and follow how they’re acting. That’s pure development right there.

Aside from that, Sienna thinks her dad is a very good director and she really enjoys working with him. It’s not just because they get to do daddy/daughter stuff together that way, but because she really likes how he gets what he wants. She explained, “He’s not shy to be that person who’s just going along with everybody and green lighting what they say. He has his own footprint and what he knows he wants. If he wants another person in his movie or a different scene, he’ll actually fight for it and get his movie to where he likes”. It’s all about passion and as we remember from the last few articles, he’s a triple threat. Sienna explained Jonathan Baker shows determination and since he’s worked on Fate for a long time, she thinks he’s even more passionate with everything coming to reality.

Sienna was especially glad when she heard Brandon Routh would be her father Sam in the film, because she knew he could play the role just by looking at his headshot. She’s pretty accurate with analyzing somebody.

Jonathan himself explained Sienna was right about what Sienna said given his perfection perspective, and he chimed in to explain why they picked Brandon Routh. Stay tuned for that story and several more casting stories next week!
