WFF Music Café and Vancouver Web Fest Call for Entries

(Via WireService.ca) The WFF Music Café invites BC musical artists to apply for a chance to perform for music supervisors of all filmed media — plus other industry professionals looking for tracks for their next project, plus any festivalgoers who love music. The Café is held during the Whistler Film Festival (December 2nd to 6th) and is a collaboration with Music BC. Up to 10 applicants will be chosen to perform. Apply online here.

Sudbury is popular with film and TV producers, but the next episode of The Amazing Race Canada (on CTV Wednesday) focuses on the city itself. “They liked the city so much, they filmed the whole episode here,” says Mayor Brian Bigger in this Sudbury Star piece by Harold Carmichael.

There’ll be a new award category, Sound Design, this year, plus Best Cinematography, Sound Design, Best Actor and Best Actress. You can enter your web series here. More on this later.
