(Via CNW) A couple of important documentaries are about to be available to Canadian viewers: Jerry Rothwell’s How To Change The World, the Canada/U.K. co-production about the birth of the modern green movement and the creation of Greenpeace, will play on Bell Media platforms starting with HBO Canada on December 3rd. Swift Current, the story of children’s advocate Sheldon Kennedy’s abuse by his coach, and its long term effects, will air on Global on November 21st.
(Via WireService.ca) Whistler Film Festival has announced two more films on its lineup: I Smile Back, starring Sarah Silverman in a dramatic (!) role as a homemaker whose damaged personality leads her to sabotage her comfortable life; and A Royal Night Out, “a respectful Cinderella-type romp” based on the true story of Princesses Elizabeth’s and Margaret’s evening on the town on VE Day in 1945. Canadian actress Sarah Gadon (WFF14 Spotlight Honouree) plays the 19-year-old future Queen.
