(Via WireService.ca) In 1968, the National Film Board took over six minutes of footage of the CN Turbo train, interior and exterior — the fastest train ever to run in Canada, going up to 226 km/h. High Speed Rail Canada, which advocates for modernization of passenger rail in Canada, has now posted the film to its YouTube channel. Founder Paul Langan says “Even though this NFB footage is silent, has watermarks and time stamps on it, the footage is spectacular.”
