TIFF Looks Ahead, Easton Says “Change” is Fun

The 2016 TIFF Industry Conference will highlight a couple of vital issues, says its director, Kathleen Drumm: The impact of Brexit on the industry, and the equal participation of women. Industry figures from the UK will address the first issue, and agencies and producers from several countries will share strategies on increasing women’s access to filmmaking. At another TIFF event — TIFF Soirée, the fundraiser that kicks off the Festival each year — Michael Fassbender will be the guest of honour and take part in an exclusive onstage conversation on his acting career. The Soirée takes place at TIFF Bell Lightbox on September 7th at 7:00 PM.
