Sharks, A Prince, and New Voices

You can be a part of Shark Infested Streets — a film-noir detective-style comedy which is the second film by teen filmmakers Darren Summersby and Garrett Ryan. MFM has details on supporting the GoFundMe campaign here. Production is set for summer 2016.

(Via Marketwired) The Little Prince, which as we told you earlier was made with the help of animators in Montreal, will play at the Boulder International Film Festival in Colorado next month. The 3D film tells the story of a young girl scheduled for a no-fun summer of qualifying for an exclusive school, until an elderly neighbour calls a study break. “The Aviator introduces The Little Girl to a magical world where anything is possible; a world that he was introduced to long ago by The Little Prince,” says a media release. For more on BIFF, see the Festival site.

The NSI New Voices course is once again on offer to Aboriginal adults ages 18 to 35, to provide them with “training and exposure to employment opportunities in film, TV and digital media”, the National Screen Institute – Canada (NSI)  has announced. The course runs 14 weeks, full time, and students are paid minimum wage. The deadline to apply is March 18th. Read more about it here.
