Let Go in Beverly Hills, Louder Than Hell in Wacken, Casting in North Bay

Let Go, a poignant new Quebecois short by Isabel Dréan, is making its U.S. debut at the 7th Annual Lady Filmmakers Festival, Chicart Productions tells us. The film explores survival after the loss of a child in an accident that tears a family apart. The Festival takes place in Beverly Hills October 23rd through 25th.

“Imagine what it’s like to be up on stage with DEEP PURPLE, see the curtain rise and feel the vibe of the first few bars of Smoke on the Water. Then imagine floating above an endless sea of people while the thunderous music of this concert takes off.” The experience is yours for one night only, October 29th,  at over 40 cinemas across Canada as Raven Banner Releasing presents Wacken 3D — Louder Than Hell. This Norbert Heitker doc tells the story of the biggest open air heavy metal festival in the world — and does it with 18 stereoscopic 3D cameras. Tickets at Cineplex and Landmark.

Joseph and Mary, in production in North Bay, has one very specific and one very general casting call posted at MFM: Stand-ins for the leads are needed, details here, and they’re also looking for “background performers of all ages, sizes and ethnicity” — read about that here.
