(via yorktonnews.com) Yorkton Film Festival will be continuing their World Wars screening program. Started just last year in November, the Yorkton Film Festival has included a screening program which tells World War stories from a Canadian perspective. The program focuses on Canadian history as well as personal stories from Canadians involved in both world wars The film festival has gained many organization partnerships as well as funding from the Government of Canada.

Robert Redford begins the Sundance Film Festival this year, announced on leadercall.com. Founder and President Redford is proud to launch Sundance once again this year and proud that filmmakers from many different backgrounds are joining in every year. Redford himself does not take credit for the subjects of the films screened every year. Movies such as The Settlers, Sing St, Outlaws and Angels, Certain Women and many more. Some of the first films got the special opportunity to be a part of Kodak’s very own exhibition prints support team.

(via CNW) Lineup for Toronto Black Film Festival has been recently announced. From February 10-14, The 4th annual TBFF will be showing special films dedicated to the heritage of blacks. Global news will be partnered up this year to bring amazing panels, events, and films. On opening night, The opening film will be THINA SOBABILI, which focuses on two siblings in a dramatic setting. Other films will include The Black Panthers: Vanguard of the Revolution, Game Face, and Soul on Ice: Past, Present, Future, and many more
