French Canadian Actress has film selected for LA Cinefest

(via 24-7 Pressrelease) As announced earlier, actress and writer Eliane Gagnon is pleased to announce her love drama Lost Ones will be appearing as an official selection at LA Cinefest, a monthly international film festival that is based in Los Angeles. Written, directed, produced by and starring Gagnon, the film follows the story of two distinctly different individuals who want to know who their soulmate truly is and if it is worth looking for one. In a world with all kinds of emotional and geographical obstacles and surrounded by modern day technology, the two believe that such a thing has to exist somewhere. Supported with a grant from BRAVO Fact, sponsored by Bell Media and inspired by “Alone with Everybody”  by poet Charles Bukowski, Gagnon says this film was made to give a glimpse into reality and connect with viewers who have felt this way before.

Gagnon herself appears as main character Mila, a French Canadian woman who is love hungry after getting her heart broken, while Joseph Murray (Maps to the Stars, composer) stars as Tom, who is her complete opposite, a cynical English Canadian man who makes music. Through the duration of the short film, the two people meet each other unexpectedly one night and get to know each other. While it may not sound like much, it certainly has a very powerful message about how opposites attract.
